In this new series, they rediscover and report on Japan by experiencing first hand Japanese pop culture, traditional culture and craftsmanship, highlighting many of Japan’s charms. In Episode #1, for example, they introduce how Japanese swords are made.

The number of cruise ships arrived in Japan and foreign passengers by cruise ships have been recorded the highest number ever last year. In the program, we introduce Japanese culture in countryside linked with domestic cruise ships. Singaporean reporter, Anita Kapoor, and Malaysian photographer, Andy Kho experience the Japanese spirit of “Wa” such as traditional culture, pop culture, and a new culture born both from tradition and contemporary fusion based culture while visiting cruise ship's port of calls and surrounding areas. We present the charm of Japan worldwide to increase inbound tourists.

4K Documentary―An Alpine Symphony by Sapporo Symphony Orchestra
Founded in 1961, Sapporo Symphony Orchestra is the only professional orchestra based in Hokkaido. Also known as “Sakkyo,” the Orchestra gives around 120 concerts a year. In 2018, Swiss conductor Matthias Bamert was appointed as the new chief conductor of Sakkyo. The program features the rehearsals and the inaugural concert of the new chief conductor, shedding light on how Sakkyo, under the baton of Mr. Bamert, approached An Alpine Symphony (written by Richard Strauss), one of the most challenging masterpieces in classic music that requires a large orchestra comprised of more than 100 musicians. How does Mr. Bamert conduct and orchestrate the music? What are his secrets?
