Yuki Onomura has recently been reminiscing about her university days, those irreplaceable moments of youth and “him. All of a sudden, she feels the urge to read her diary again.
Three years ago in April, on the first day of her third year at university, Yuki talked with her fellow faculty members Mahiru and Airi about how to spend the remaining two years without regret. Yuki felt dissatisfied with her student life.
At that moment, she noticed Hiromi Tokunaga intensely staring at a cherry blossom tree while fervently scribbling with a pen. A gust of wind blew, and a loose leaf sheet filled with equations landed at Yuki‘s feet. When Yuki picked it up and returned it, Hiromi thanked her and hurriedly left, forgetting his backpack. This backpack became the spark that brought Yuki, Hiromi, Mahiru Airi and Toranosuke together. They shared their worries and struggles, supporting each other as they vividly spent the remaining two years of university life. What Yuki suddenly recalls are the many memories with the five of them After graduating, the five have not seen each other much lately.
This ensemble cast drama unfolds in two timelines the present (their first year as working adults) and the past (their third year at university), depicting the lives of five men and women.
