The protagonist is MER ("Mobile Emergency Room"), a team of emergency professionals on wheels formed by the Tokyo governor with one mission only: to prevent a single death. Tasked with rushing to the scene of major accidents, disasters, and crimes, MER is armed with state-of-the-art medical equipment, a mobile operating room, and an elite staff ready to risk all to save lives.

Doctor Cars (Emergency Medical Service vehicles) have recently been places in over 40 medical facilities in Japan. This drama focuses on the medical scene of the Doctor Cars and the doctors. Ichika Tendo (Ayame Goriki) a newly graduated medical student has been placed in the recently developed Doctor Car team. Ichika holds a strong ideology of critical medical care and aspires to save as many lives as possible. On the other hand, the son of the hospital’s chairman and her team’s leader Yusuke Asagi (Shunshuke Nakamura) does not have any interest in his team and is completely useless! Instead, his passion is stirred up to oust Ichika and ill-treats her. Even her co-workers, the subordinates of Yusuke are her foe! Eventually, the only person that was her sympathetic supporter Ryoko Asagi, becomes her biggest enemy… Although surrounded by enemies, Ichika fights and thrives to save the lives!
