Munakata-Taisha (Munakata Shrine)

Three sacred shrines for three daughters of the goddess of the sun and universe, Amaterasu. Munakata-taisha dates back to the 4th century, where sailors prayed for safe voyages across the seas. You’ll find national treasures like a golden ring and a bronze mirror that speak to ages past. So sacred only Shinto priests are allowed to enter, the island of Okinoshima, home to one of the three shrines, is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

There is the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum telling people the threat of the bomb and there are two trees regenerated after bombed showing people hope and strength.

Osaka Prefecture
One of the great castles of Japan, Osaka Castle is an iconic sightseeing spot, home to a variety of events as well as parks and flowers to be enjoyed in every season. Built in the late 16th century, Osaka Castle was the center of power for Hideyoshi Toyotomi, an Imperial Regent known as one of the unifiers of Japan for his role in ending centuries of turmoil.
Ehime Prefecture
A symbol of Matsuyama City, Matsuyama Castle is set atop of Mr. Katsutama, the city center, the castle has commanding views of the surrounding area and Inland Sea. Built in the early 1600s, it has unique structures that are designated as important cultural properties, and is one of twelve “original castles”, that is castles that have survived since the end of the feudal period in 1868.
Today, 200 cherry trees on the castle grounds make it one of the best spots in the country to enjoy cherry blossoms in the spring.
