The regular popular program “Udo-chan’s Trip” has been aired for 17 years. And the special series has been aired for 10 years.
Udo-chan travels to Mikawa Bay in Aichi prefecture. During his trip, he is with a talented actor, Ryuta Sato and an idol, Ami Inamura known as “God swing pitch” during the opening ceremony. Their trip at Nishio station is the place, which Udo-chan has already visited 4times. They visit the Pizza & Steak restaurant, which Udo-chan every time goes and the master and the nice antique atmosphere make them feel comfortable. Then they find a lovely café and meet a maniac master, who takes his coffee seriously. They admired the rich taste of coffee. After the coffee shop, they head to the tea shop because Nishio-city is famous for Tea, but the shop is closed. Therefore, they go to the memorial park and find a clock tower, which has a button and starts playing local songs. They choose “Nishio de LaLa” (LaLa at Nishio City) randomly and dance with the pop melody. They had so much fun. At the end, they have seafood lunch and go to see a sunset by “Tuk-Tuk”!!
It is a beautiful scenery and they look back to their teenage years with nostalgic feelings.

放送17年目に突入した2020年。毎年恒例の年明け一発目の「冬の〇〇シリーズＳＰ」も10回目！
今回の旅の舞台は「冬の三河湾」と題して抹茶で有名な六万石の城下町の愛知県西尾市からスタートし、うなぎ養殖の一色町や吉良上野介ゆかりの町・吉良町、そして竹島水族館や深海魚グルメで知られる蒲郡市などの三河湾エリア。
今回のシークレットゲストは、弾けるような笑顔がまぶしい俳優・佐藤隆太さんと、豪快な神スイングで知られる稲村亜美さん。2人の登場に、のけ反るほど驚くウドちゃん。
西尾駅前付近はウドちゃんが過去に4回訪れていますが、実に5年ぶり。記憶を探り探り旅をはじめます。
まず最初に訪れたのは、過去4回のうち毎回訪れている「ピザ＆ステーキ・あい」。ここは昭和レトロな佇まいで、アンティークを収集している優しいご主人に癒されてきました。
ご主人に別れを告げ、歩いていると隆太さんが気になった「フレーバーコーヒー」という可愛らしいキャラクターの看板のお店へ。このお店は自家焙煎したコーヒー豆を販売するだけでなく、独自の見解で抽出の仕方までこだわる、可愛い看板からは想像もできないほどのマニアック店主のお店でした。そのお味も驚くほどの美味しさに3人もただただ驚くばかり。隆太さんが気になり、ふらりと立ち寄ったお店でしたが、コーヒーだけにその奥の深さに感動すら覚える3人でした。
西尾市はお茶の町ということで、せっかくなのでお茶やお茶スイーツをいただきたいと、聞き込み。西尾城跡である歴史公園近くにお店があると聞いて向かいます。しかし、この日はお店が定休日。残念な気持ちを一変してくれたのが、公園内にある時計台。この時計台にはご当地ソングが数種類収録されていて、ボタンを押すと流れるシステム。「西尾小唄」や「茶摘み音頭」などがある中で、何気なく押したのは「西尾でLaLa」というタイトル。
体が自然にリズムにのって、3人ともノリノリ状態！一気に気分を楽しくさせてくれました。
通常のタクシーで三河湾方面である西尾市一色町へ向かい、観光案内所で教えてもらった「さかな広場」で食事をしようという事に。さらには、「トゥクトゥク」がその場所に来てくれるという事で一石二鳥な旅のプランが決まります！
3人はトゥクトゥクで西川さんおススメの浜辺に向かいます。少し冷たい海風を浴びながら海岸線を走るトゥクトゥク。
三河湾に太陽が沈みかけ、夕暮れの浜辺に到着すると、素晴らしい夕景の三河湾が待っていました。
まるで青春の1ページのような風景・・・。そんな風景にセンチメンタルな気分になったのか、初恋の思い出エピソードを話しはじめる3人。そして、最後に運転してくれた西川さんに話を聞くと・・・意外な？答えが返ってきて3人もびっくり！
西尾駅前からスタートして5年ぶりのお店「あい」に始まり、美しい三河湾を眺めながら「こい」の話で終わった、なんとも不思議な道筋の旅でした。

Alzheimer’s is a serious disease among the elderly. There are various factors which cause this disease, but a major component is a significant lack of brain activity. Dr. Kawashima has approved that stimulating the frontal cortex- the portion of the brain which functions to make us distinctly human- helps keep the brain in a healthy state.
Dr. Kawashima is a Japanese neuroscientist with international distinction, recognized for conducting scientific brain studies that analyze which of portions of the brain are actively used during various actions of human beings. “The Brain Trainer Exercise” is supervised by him. He is currently working on extensive analysis of the brain, including development during childhood and the improvement of dementia. He has received a significant number of prizes for his achievements in the field of neuroscience.
It’s been said that the brain is never active while watching television. However, “The Brain Trainer Exercise” was born as the world’s first TV program that activates the brain, and has therefore been gathering worldwide attention. Currently, the program is broadcasted in not only Japan, but also on the national network of Thailand.
We at Sendai Television would like to share Dr. Kawashima’s research results that I previously described, to help the rapidly aging world in which we live.

The “31 Legged Race” is an ultimate team sports event where 30 elementary school children run literally together in a row for 50 meters with their legs tied together.
The race has become a nationwide event providing fun and entertainment for both the participants and the viewers. This race requires much practice, diligence, and most of all team spirit: working together, focusing on creating a unified rhythm, and placing the team in front of yourself.
The rules are simple. A group of 30 kids from the same elementary school form one team and connect their legs by using specially designed ankle straps. This creates 29 tied legs, with two free legs on each end, therefore creating the “31 Legged Race.” Each team must run 50 meters in a wide open space. The goal tape is backed with a giant safety cushion so the kids can make a dive for their fastest time.
A simple and highly relatable format that will surely make your kids want to participate!
