Kaede, who works at a flower gift shop, and Jun, who runs a dry-cleaning business, have lived together for almost a year. Although they lead an ordinary but happy life, a constant shadow of anxiety looms over their days. This is because both of them have been telling a particular “lie” to each other.
One day, news arrives at them that “Kaede’s mother, Suzuko, has passed away.” This is the beginning of the unveiling of their lies.
Gradually and eventually, their anxiety becomes a reality, and the modest happiness built on their “lies” begins to crumble. Their daily lives are turned upside down, and the truth gradually comes to light. Among these truths is a significant secret that threatens to tear their love apart.
When they come to know each other’s pasts and authentic selves, hidden by these “lies,” what future will Kaede and Jun choose?
