8TV, Primeworks Studios Sdn. Bhd. (PWS) and Metropolitan TV Sdn. Bhd. (8TV) are proud to announce the broadcast of “Ho Chak! In Japan”—a special program borne out of their co-development and co-production efforts with Nippon Television Network Corporation (Nippon TV) and Fun Japan Communications Co., Ltd. (FJC). “Ho Chak,” which means “delicious” in the Hokkien dialect, hit the airwaves from November 5, 2017 to January 7, 2018, Every Sunday at 6:00pm.

To commemorate the start of the special Japan edition, a talk show featuring “Ho Chak!” hosts Gary and Orange will be held on November 12, 2017 at the ISETAN The Japan Store (Lot 10) in Kuala Lumpur, which was launched last year. Just last July, the popular duo traveled all over Japan—from the north to the south—getting their fill of delectable local specialties from Sapporo, Fukuoka, Beppu, Hiroshima, Okayama, and Osaka. There’s no doubt they have lots to say about Japan’s charms, as well as what really happened off-camera and the antics that didn’t make it on air. Now they’re ready to share it all at the talk show! They will also engage attendees in a Janken (Rock-Paper-Scissors) Challenge, a famous Japanese game, where the winner gets a “delicious prize”.

This talk show event will be held at the ISETAN The Japan Store during the Japan Local Specialty Fair” (November 10, 2017 to November 19, 2017), organized by The Council of Local Authorities for International Relations (CLAIR), in an effort to jointly promote the wonders of Japanese food.
