TOKYO, JAPAN – March 6, 2023 - Having captured the Annual Individual Viewer Ratings Triple Crown title for the 12th consecutive year in 2022, currently celebrating its 70th Anniversary, Nippon TV, Japan's leading multiplatform entertainment powerhouse, announced today the company will head to this year's MIPTV with a new scripted format, Rebooting (60 minute episodes) and a new unscripted format, Doki Doki Video (30-180 minute episodes). The announcement was made today by Mikiko Nishiyama, Executive Vice President of International Business Development, Nippon TV.

Rebooting is a series that is currently airing to success on Sunday prime time, in which a mundane woman gets the unbelievable chance to redo her banal life. Scripted by a very popular Japanese comedian who's forte is detailed descriptions of the daily events that are extremely relatable and humorous to audiences, the story revolves around a 33-year-old single woman working at the local city hall. One day, she gets hit by a car and dies but finds herself in an empty white room where a clerk files her death and guides her towards a door to her next life as a giant anteater. If she declines that choice and chooses to re-live the same life she had lived as a human being but work hard to gain extra points by doing better than her past life, she will again be reincarnated as a human being. She chooses the latter to take control of her karma and reincarnation, and her second go at life begins; however, things do not go as planned and when she dies again and faces the same decision-making process, she decides to re-live her same life once again, only to find out a huge surprise that she is not the only one going through multiple reboots of life. This time-leap human comedy depicts bizarre daily occurrences at a spectacular scale with an unimaginable ending and has ranked #1 on catch up, SVOD, and AVOD as well as constantly trending on social media.

Next on the slate is Doki Doki Video which puts celebrities to the test to hold back their facial expressions while facing the most shocking viral videos. In this unique combination of observation reality and competitive game show, celebrities compete in a tournament to see who can endure 12 shocking and/or funny videos without showing any emotion. If the celebrities do show emotion by making noise or showing facial expressions, they lose points and may be forced to leave the competition. The celebrity contestants who make it through the preliminary rounds advance to the finals, where more shocking or hilarious videos await. The celebrity who manages to endure to the very end is awarded a prize, declared the winner, and given the prestigious title of "Champion of No Reaction".
