TV Asahi and Youngest Media Group have teamed up to introduce a new star-studded physical game show format called “Celebrity Fight Club.” The show, a fresh format based on TV Asahi’s classic hit “Challengers on Fire,” has been newly reimagined by the Youngest Media Group team in Los Angeles.

The original “Challengers on Fire,” the hit TV Asahi show which ran for five years and over 190 episodes, was top-rated in its timeslot.

The new format plays on pop culture, with celebrity “rivals” going head-to-head in a bold, all-family, comedy-packed competition… driven by their social media followers! Every episode, two star players bring their biggest supporters to the studio to participate in a fun physical stunt show to see, once and for all, which celebrity has the “best” fans.

The big cast physical game show will be shopped in the US and worldwide.

Youngest Media Group LLC was launched by producer Ed October to complete the acquisition of the IP Assets/Catalog of Youngest Media Ltd. of London. The purchase included the rights to formats and/or completed episodes of more than 15 series, including Game of Clones (MTV, C4) and Small Fortune (ITV, NBC) as well as a catalog of formats including the collaboration with TV Asahi. The company is currently partnered with a number of major production companies, studios and A-list talents.

Ed October was an executive producer at the Game Show Network and MTV’s Logo Network, and executive produced the critically acclaimed Bands Reunited, The Roseanne Show, The Wanda Sykes Show, and recently directed You Bet Your Life with Jay Leno.
