Love Stories from Fukuoka 9 (福岡恋愛白書9)
Mai (Mikie Hara) has suffered a great wound to her face in an accident. It is a minor injury, but the doctor says, "If you are exposed to UV light before it cures, a scar will be left". To hide the wound, Mai puts a large bandage on her face and comes to avoid the public eye. Takuya (Ren Yagami), who helped Mai at the time of the accident, tries to cheer her up. He had been in love with Mai from before, but Mai takes his kindness as pity and cannot accept his love honestly. With encouragement from her colleague Aki (Haruna Kojima), little by little the ice in her mind melts. Then Aki decides to be a cupid of love at last.
When Mai regains her honesty under the sun, will she be united in love with Takuya?

An omnibus love-story drama series produced once a year by KBC in Fukuoka. The stories are all based on real life experiences of viewers in Fukuoka. Young popular actors, including the members of AKB48, play the main roles and some actors/ celebrities/ sports players who are associated with the Kyushu area in various ways appear in the drama as well.
As an additional appeal, since this drama is shot in Kyushu, mainly Fukuoka, viewers can recognize many famous sightseeing spots in each episode.
Itsuki Akiyoshi (Ryota Ozawa) is obsessed with the memory of a woman he cannot forget, although he has a girlfriend, Sae (Yuki Kashiwagi). When Sae tells him that she is pregnant, Itsuki abruptly begins to talk about the woman.
Three years ago, Itsuki, dreaming to open a restaurant, moved to Yanagawa City to work at a tavern as a cook. Having few acquaintances there, his senior introduced him to a woman, Megumi (ICONIQ), three years older than Itsuki. Megumi was a stunning beauty, and he fell in love with her at first sight. Itsuki was invited on a date by her. They called each other "Megu" and "Ai-kun," and gradually nurtured their relationship.
However, Megumi behaved as if some part of her refused to be Itsuki's girlfriend. In fact, Megumi had a secret that she could not tell him. What is Megumi' s secret? Episode1: Touch Your Smile
College student Yuki (Anna Ishibashi) is reunited by chance with Jun (Shunya Shiraishi), a junior high school classmate. Jun confesses his love for her, but Yuki chooses Kazuya (Sho Jinnai), a senior in the same club whom she has secretly admired. The relationship between Yuki and Kazuya seems to go well, but Kazuya has an affair with a girl whom he has dated before. Yuki decides to say good-bye, and Jun asks Yuki to come back. However, Yuki cannot cut off her relationship with Kazuya. Swaying between the two men leads Yuki into an unexpected tragedy.
Episode2: Poem of First Love
Kaori (Rino Sashihara) is in love with a classmate, Horiuchi (Riku Ozeki), who gave her an eraser when they were both first graders. There is no progress at all, yet Kaori deepens her feelings for him. With the sole desire to remain close to him, she dedicates herself to studying and passes difficult examinations to enter the same high school and university. Horiuchi breaks Yuki' s heart in high school by saying, "You are only a classmate." But Kaori never gives up. After 13 years of unrequited love, the surprising truth comes out.

Misaki (Hazuki Tsuchiya) starts attending high school and falls in love with a boy (Yuki Hashiguchi) commuting on the same train who is a senior at her school. He always takes the same train and stands grasping the same strap every morning. One year passes without any conversation, and he graduates. That winter, Misaki misses the train and finds him on the next train. He is standing in the same position. At last, Misaki starts to make approaches to him. Each day, she shifts the strap one by one to get closer to him.
Love Stories from Fukuoka 6 - Episode2: Fireworks Bridge -
Kumiko (Mariko Shinoda) lives alone in Kurume City. News arrives that her father has been hospitalized with cancer. Lying on the bed, he orders Kumiko to "Bring your boyfriend," but Kumiko has no lover. Kumiko goes to a matchmaking party and meets Tsuda (Daisuke Kikuta), who is three years younger than her. When Kumiko is invited on a date, she asks Tsuda to meet her father. "Did you go out with me to reassure your father?" Kumiko cannot answer. The separate emotions of the three characters are united by the memory of a fireworks festival at the Chikugo River.
