This is a story of family which conveys the message of parental love that is so important in the times we now live in.
During their time at university, Natsu Tsukioka and Mizuki Nagumo ended up going out and life was good for them. However, one day, all of a sudden, Mizuki told Natsu she wanted to break things off, and they went their separate ways. Seven years have passed since then, and Natsu has moved on, when he learns from an old university friend that Mizuki has passed away. The two never met again after she told him it was over, so it still doesn’t feel real to Natsu when he goes to attend the funeral. There he meets a young girl named Umi. Natsu cannot hide his surprise when he learns that the girl is Mizuki’s daughter. Mizuki’s mother also informs him that he is the father. When Natsu learns that Mizuki had given birth to their child without telling him, and she had been raising her alone, he looks back on the seven years Mizuki and Umi spent together...

Minato Togawa has had a crush on Tsumugi Aoba since they were at high school together. The two reunite at their high school reunion and begin dating as adults, eventually deciding to move in together. Whilst waiting at the station on the way to a viewing for a possible apartment, Tsumugi is surprised to see her high school ex-boyfriend Sou Sakura alighting from the train she’s supposed to be taking.
Sou became deaf after being afflicted with juvenile bilateral sensorineural hearing loss, since he can’t hear Tsumugi calling out to him, he is lost in the crowds. Unable to take her mind off Sou, Tsumugi begins to stake out the entrance to the station she saw him at. Dropping her headphones when someone bumps into her, the person who picks it up turns out to be Sou. Delighted to see him, Tsumugi rushes forward, but Sou appears to almost run from her. When she catches up to him and tugs on his arm, he finally turns to face her, and Tsumugi learns of his hearing loss.
Unable to understand sign language, Tsumugi reaches out to stop Sou as he tries to communicate, but Sou simply signs the phrase “shut up” and walks away. Tsumugi makes the decision attend a school for sign language, and to meet Sou again when she can communicate with him properly.
This chance reunion sparks a new relationship between the two. They begin to meet frequently, Sou starts to open up to the idea of working with others, and playing Deaf Soccer, which he previously refused to attempt…

Kokoro Onda is a doctor from the medical oncology department. She married a man she met in school named Takumi and gave birth to a boy. Every day was smooth sailing. However, her husband had a falling accident, and has not regained consciousness despite undergoing surgery. Though she acts tough at the workplace, she personally still hasn’t come to terms with reality. And that’s when she meets Kaoru Kajiyama?a capable gastrointestinal surgeon who transferred to her hospital for work. She’s cool, calm, and collected during work and always makes the right calls on the spot, but she’s also a lady with a bold personality that shocks everyone around her. Another part of her is her love life, in which she only deals with difficult men. But, Kaoru has a secret that she can never reveal to Kokoro.
