“Loin d'ici”is a French restaurant oddly situated inside a cemetery, and run by a very eccentric owner who exhibits not a whit of desire to see it succeed except to fulfill her own hedonistic craving of “enjoying the pleasures of food and drink to her heart’s content”. She is surrounded by a colorful, like-minded staff of unique misfits, none of whom possess the refinement, flattery or tact needed. Yet through a string of mishaps and failures, they gradually find in the restaurant a sense of belonging and purpose, growing with the owner into an indispensable team and top-shelf restaurant. 故事以一間開在墓地中的法式餐廳“Loin d'ici”為舞臺。
老闆對於如何使餐廳生意興隆完全沒有興趣，只是為了能讓自己“隨心所欲地享用美酒和美食”的一己私欲而開了這家餐廳，完全是一個“怪人”。
而集聚一堂在這家餐廳工作的服務員們也是一群完全不輸給老闆的性格各異之人。
這些言辭不夠圓滑的人，雖然最初不斷失敗，但漸漸他們找到了自己的“位置”和“工作意義”，不知不覺中成為“不可或缺的存在”為團隊做出貢獻，和老闆一起演奏出了一曲精彩的多重奏。

Kinuka Saijyo (44) (Hikari Ishida) took advantage of her husband Makoto’s (46) father’s death to move into the house that her father-in-law left behind in Kamakura. Her mother-in-law Chizuko (56), the father-in-law’s second wife, had a wild and flashy personality that made Kinuka uneasy, but she hoped to open a flower arrangement classroom, and she also hoped her family of four could relax in the spacious house.

On the day of their moving-in party, however, those hopes were dashed, as Itsuki Seno (38) (Tsubasa Imai), Kinuka’s ex-boyfriend, suddenly appears at her side. He says, “I’m being chased by a debt collector, and I need a place to hide.”

She was scared, so she tried to send Itsuki away, but he disappeared... However, he had settled into the Saijyo family’s garret. Since then, he begins to discover the family’s true selves from the garret.

鎌倉の一軒家。
西條衣香（石田ひかり）は、夫・誠（勝村政信）の父の死を機に、義父が遺した鎌倉の洋館に、夫と娘、息子と引っ越してきた。
義父の後妻である姑・千鶴子（高畑淳子）に強く勧められたためだ。
同じ敷地内の別棟とはいえ、自分とは違ったタイプの派手で奔放な姑と同じ敷地内で暮らしていくことに不安はあったが、長年の夢だったフラワーアレンジメント教室を自宅サロンで開けること、一家四人が広々と過ごすことができる念願の住処だ。
絵に描くような幸せな光景がみえ、洋館への引っ越しを決意した。
洋館の庭で行われた引っ越しパーティーの日。
衣香のもとに、昔の恋人・瀬野樹（今井翼）が突然現れる。
彼は「借金とりに追われているから匿ってくれ」という。
18年前に別れた恋人、あれから連絡をとっていなく、新居の住所を知るはずもない。
直観的に恐怖を感じ、瀬野を追い返そうとするが、
