Isumi, a college student with an inferiority complex about his baby face and short stature, lives alone while working part-time at a convenience store. He belongs to a cooking club and is so skilled in the kitchen that he can quickly whip up delicious dishes from any combination of ingredients, earning the admiration of his friends.
On his way home from a welcome party for new students, a slightly tipsy Isumi feels lonely. Just then, a police officer named Amasawa appears and asks to check Isumi’s ID. When Isumi shows his student ID, Amasawa is taken aback. “Are you okay? Where do you live?” Amasawa asks, taking Isumi’s hand and escorting him home.
The next day, Amasawa shows up at the convenience store where Isumi works. Isumi’s heart skips a beat. From that day on, Amasawa comes to the store every day, asking for recommendations on lunch boxes. Despite finding Amasawa’s familiarity annoying, Isumi chooses lunch boxes that consider Amasawa’s health.
Though Isumi thinks Amasawa’s overly friendly demeanor is annoying, he can’t help but blurt out, “Want me to come over and cook for you?” Amasawa beams and says, “I can’t wait. I’m looking forward to your cooking.” And so, Isumi finds himself heading to Amasawa’s place to prepare a home-cooked meal.

新入生歓迎会からの帰り道、ほろ酔いの唯純は一人孤独を感じていた。と、そこに警察官の天沢（多和田任益）が現れ、唯純に年齢確認をする。学生証を見せるとびっくりする天沢。「大丈夫？どこなの？家」と天沢は唯純の手を引き、家まで送ってくれるのだった。
