Yukino Katsuragi, who works at the beverage company "Cat Beverage," is about to turn 35. After being dumped by her boyfriend, with whom she was considering marriage, she has put an end to her search for a spouse and is now enjoying her single life. One day, she meets Mizuki Aoshima, a 26-year-old popular young employee at her company. Despite Aoshima being surrounded by female colleagues, Yukino finds herself completely uninterested.
One evening, while Yukino is enjoying a solo drink at her favorite izakaya after work, she receives a call from a friend who is getting married next week. Yukino remembers that she had promised to attend the wedding with her ex-boyfriend and finds herself in a dilemma. Just then, she glances at the seat next to her and sees Aoshima, whom she met earlier that day. On a whim, Yukino asks Aoshima to be her one-day boyfriend and accompany her to the wedding. Surprisingly, Aoshima agrees!
What will become of their "contractual romance" that began with a small lie?
