京都にお引越し
A story that gently peeks into the everyday life and casual attire of Kyoto. Feeling the authentic atmosphere of Kyoto, what answer is the protagonist Toshiya discovering the "things I want to do in life?"
The story is structured to seamlessly interweave the drama part, which depicts the relationships and emotions of the characters, with the documentary part, which captures real interactions at actual shops. The narrative unfolds, allowing the audience to feel the subtle emotions of the protagonist and the natural breath of Kyoto.
The drama part is filmed using long takes and a lot of ad-lib exchanges. Meanwhile, in the documentary, the cast visit shops in Kyoto City. These visits include long-established traditional confectionery shops beloved by locals, pickle shops, a nostalgic and charming button shop, eateries, and a lighting store with an owner’s particular focus. The featured shops are those involved in the meticulous craftsmanship unique to Kyoto and those that have become part of the everyday lives of local people.
Toshiya, a graduate of an art college, is currently working in Osaka. One day, he decides to visit his cousin, Saki, who lives in Kyoto and runs an antique store. Toshiya couldn't help but feel a little envious of Saki's carefree lifestyle and her successful business. As he explores the nostalgic and refined small stores owned by individuals and those that are a part of the daily life of Kyoto, he begins to feel a sense of healing from the nature of the city. Furthermore, as he spends time with Saki and her friend Nao, he desires to live in Kyoto himself.

物語は、登場人物の関係性や心情を描くドラマパートと、実際にある店舗でのリアルなやり取りを捉えたドキュメンタリーパートがシームレスに行き交うという構成。主人公の心の機微とリアルな京都の息づかいを感じるストーリーが展開される。ドラマパートの撮影は、カメラの長回しやアドリブのやりとりを多用。またドキュメンタリーパートでは、実際にキャストが京都市内にある店舗を訪問。訪れるのは、地元で愛される老舗の和菓子店、漬物店、ノスタルジックでかわいいボタン専門店、飲食店、こだわりの照明専門店など。京都ならではの丁寧なものづくりに携わる店や地元の人たちの生活の一部となっている店が登場します。
美大出身、大阪で働く俊也(正門良規)。
ある日、従姉の佐紀(蓮佛美沙子)を訪ねて京都にやって来る。
京都でアンティークショップを営み、自由気ままに生きているように見える佐紀にちょっぴり羨ましさを感じる俊也。
個人が営むノスタルジックで洗練された小さなお店や普段使いの生活に根付いたお店を回り、京都の自然に癒され、佐紀や友人の奈緒(安藤玉恵)と触れ合う中で、自分も京都に住んでみたい気持ちがふつふつと湧いてくる・・・
