Takamaru establishes a Customer Complaints and Special Sales Office, assigning Masahiro as its chief, and plots to make him take on troublesome jobs that will end in failures he can use to force him out of the company. Caught up in this struggle when she is assigned to the Special Sales Office, Emiko is sympathetic to Masahiro and reluctantly works to make these jobs a success. But the complaints all involve things like deaths, disappearances, and poltergeists. As she is at a loss for what to do, Emiko meets the mysterious Kotaro Inugashi...
