Kanade Nishimura, a prosecutor at the Yokohama District Public Prosecutors Office, moved to her mother's hometown in Nagano Prefecture when she was in junior high school after losing her father, who was also a prosecutor, and she went on to study law at the local university. There, she met four friends and together shared the hardships of preparing for the bar exam and she enjoyed her first taste of "youth" and deepening their bonds. However, one day, just before the entrance exam for law school, an unexpected incident occurs. The death of a certain individual. This event greatly disrupts their destinies.
Twelve years later, Kanade unexpectedly comes face to face with the incident that occurred from her university days once again, which is connected to the mystery of her father's death 20 years ago.

Keisuke is a “King of Laughter at School,” who simply loves to make people laugh. One day, Jun, who used to be a young professional entertainer, enters his school and becomes his classmate.
Keisuke feels a strong sense of rivalry, but Jun is interested in Keisuke who does absolutely anything to get a laugh from people.
Though they often clash with each other in the beginning, they team up as comedy duo and decide to take the tough and hazardous road of becoming professional comedians.
