Naoya Fukamachi is a university student who gained the ability to see people’s lies after an event in his childhood.
When people lie, he hears their voice become distorted into a strange sound. Thanks to his strange ability, he has experienced many unpleasant circumstances, eventually avoiding connections with others and living in solitude.
At an Ethnology lecture he happens to attend, Naoya takes an interest in handsome associate professor, Takatsuki Akira. The professors’ words carry no lies at all, comfortably reaching his ears.

Akira has the ability to remember anything he sees for a few moments, a “perfect memory”, and is only interested in unexplained phenomena.
Intrigued by Naoya's report on his strange childhood experience, Akira invites him to be his assistant.
One day, a mysterious event occurs at a nearby elementary school and the pair attempt to find an explanation, however...
