Madre de Dios Island is one of six thousand islands comprising an archipelago southwest of Chile, South America. Access to this uninhabited island near the center of the archipelago is extremely difficult as the island is located in one of the world's most famous rainstorm regions known as the "Furious Fifties." Thus far, only a few research expeditions from around the world have made it to the island, the results of which have revealed a unique and amazing environment that cannot be seen anywhere else in the world. This program explores deep within the island. Witness the amazing power of nature and marvel at the wondrous landscape revealed here for the first time by Japanese TV cameras.
