A slapstick that could happen in any family...with a deep, abiding love at its heart!
Stubborn Gentaro Ito lives with his wife, Chizuru, in an old home in the earthy heart of Tokyo. The two have three daughters. The second oldest, Rika, lives in Osaka, married to Daisuke, a banker. The youngest daughter, Mika, has a clerical job in a food company. She lived on her own in an apartment, spending most nights together with Yuji, an aspiring manga artist. However, with Yuji showing no prospects of ever achieving success, Mika decides to break things off, ridding her life of clutter. Yuka, the oldest daughter, has an important position in an advertising agency. She has no idea that the man she is dating is already married. When Gentaro finds out about the situation, he explodes. He forbids her to live on her own, so Yuka moves back to her family home to live with her parents. Then Rika and her husband have a fight, so Rika comes back to the family home as well.
One day, Gentaro meets an attractive but overweight man, Omori, and the two immediately hit it off. He dreams about how much better things would be if his daughters were married to someone like Omori. He brings Omori home with him and introduces Omori to his daughters. However, as it turns out, Omori is Yuka's ex, who she broke up with saying, "I just can't date someone who's ugly. Looks are important, too!"

頑固おやじ・伊藤源太郎は妻の千鶴と東京下町の古い一軒家で暮らしており、3人の娘がいる。次女の里香は都市銀行に勤めるダイスケと結婚して大阪に住んでいる。里香は結婚するまでは出版社の優秀な編集者だった。三女の美香は食品会社のOLで、一人暮らしのアパートでその部屋に転がり込んできた漫画家「志望」のユウジと半同棲していたが、まったく売れる気配のないユウジに見切りをつけ断捨離。一方、長女の由香は広告会社で会社の中枢で働きながら既婚者の男性と付き合っていた。この事実を源太郎が知り、怒りが爆発。由香は「一人暮らし禁止」と源太郎から言い渡され実家で両親と同居することになる。そこに里香が夫とケンカして里帰りしてきた…。
ある日、源太郎は男前のデブ・大森さんと知り合い、意気投合する。「こんな人がウチの娘たちの結婚相手だったらどんなにいいだろう!」と勝手に夢見る源太郎。そして大森を家まで連れてきて娘たちに紹介するのだった。しかし、実は大森は由香の元カレで、かつて「ブサイクはイヤ。男は見た目も大事」という理由でふった人だったのだ…。

Author Taro Obika is an obsessed single father who loves his daughter so much, he decides to go to the same college. Nicknamed Gataro, he was widowed when his wife died of an illness and has raised his only child Sakura all on his own.
Things are about to change drastically as Sakura prepares to enter a coeducational university after going to an all-girls school all her life. Worried sick, Gataro enrolls not only in the same school, but also in the same department, and the madness begins!
Unable to control his anxiety, he sticks his nose in her every business, from classes to extracurricular activities, parties, dating events, cultural festivals, part-time jobs, and everything else college kids do. But as the 40-year-old middle-aged dad gets involved in the youthful pursuits of Sakura and her colleagues, he finds himself enjoying life even more than them.
"Back to School Daddy" is about a father and a daughter whose bond strengthens after they wind up becoming schoolmates. In this time of nuclear families, witness unconventional parenting as Gataro assumes the role of father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, friend, and even classmate. The story centers on two “kings”, Akiba and Etchu.
King Akiba once known for eye-opening acquisitions has since liberated himself from materialistic concerns and the power of money in favor of freely pursuing new value by creativity. King Etchu, on the other hand, serves as CEO of a major investment fund and is driven by an insatiable lust for women and money.
Living according to opposite values and harboring completely different motives, both kings find themselves looking to acquire a key television station in Tokyo, Chuo TV. Their bid to win this prized property brings about a fatefully colossal clash between two evenly-matched tycoons.

Wakaba Fujitani is a high school sophomore in Fukui Prefecture. Ever since she was little, she has been an ardent fan of the JETS, a top high school cheer dance team from her hometown that won the U.S. national championship for the first time. Her dream is to one day join the team and win the coveted U.S. national championship again. But when Wakaba fails to pass the school’s entrance examination, her aspiration of even becoming a cheer dancer are crushed, and she settles for attending a high school in a neighboring town where she spends most of her time merely cheering at sporting events as part of her school’s weak cheerleading club. Then one day, Yuri, a transfer student from Tokyo with a forceful personality arrives and befriends Wakaba, suddenly suggesting that the two of them try out for the cheer dance team. Startled by this turn of events, Wakaba slowly begins to feel a rekindling of her long-cherished childhood dream.

어느날, 도쿄에서 온 저돌적인 전학생 시오리는 와카바에게 치어댄스를 하자고 제안한 다. 시오리의 갑작스런 제안에 당황하지만 와카바의 마음속에 어릴적부터 품어왔던 치어댄스를 향한 뜨거운 마음이 되살아난다.

下町ロケット
Following its smash hit debut in 2015, Downtown Rocket returns for a second season in 2018 furthering the struggles and challenges of Kohei Tsukuda, a former rocket scientist and leader of the Tsukuda Manufacturig Co., a cozy factory in the old part of Tokyo. Two girls of thirtysomething, Miharu and Hana, were living in different urban cities spending dull days. Tired of such lives and hoping to rebuild their lives, they come up with the idea of moving to countryside and live together. They put it into practice but with no specific plans. The destination they picked up was “Shirakawa-Go”, which is famous area for its natural heritage sites in Gifu prefecture! …but by mistake, they arrive in a very small town which faces the declining population problem, named “Shirawaka-cho”. Though it’s not a famous city, there’s beautiful scenery of nature with mountain, river, paddy field and tea plantations. Miharu and Hana are moved by that beauty and they determine to settle down there by first sight. Now their new life starts, but gradually they come to find that living in rural is not only fun thing; there’re specific rules they can’t understand with urban common sense and it makes them shocked. However, they get into the life with people there, attracted deeply by its charm…

This heart-warming drama is based on an episode that is currently taking place at an agency that helps to arrange special adoptions (“tokubetsu-yoshiengumi” in Japanese), a system in which the happiness of the children comes first.
Takako Okuda (Shigeru Muroi), the head of “Smile Baby”, a non-profit organization that helps arrange special adoptions, helped Madoka Sakamoto (Alice Hirose) who is homeless and 9 months pregnant. She has been living off of coins she picks up from underneath vending machines, eating instant noodles, and drinking water from public parks. Despite Takako looking out for her, Madoka, needing quick cash, went to Shun Nonogaki (Masato Wada), an agent who uses on-line marketing to solicit expecting mothers with the offer: “we will give you 150,000 yen per month until you give birth if you give the infant up for adoption.”
Madoka soon feels anxious because of what she feels is Nonogaki’s insincere attitude and she petitions to cancel but is threatened that she would have to repay twice the money she had received if she cancelled and is left with nowhere else to go. Takako manages to find the pregnant Madoka, who had disappeared suddenly, and tries to help her keep from having to turn over her baby to Nonogaki…
This situation makes Takako’s adopted daughter, Megumi (Yuuki Yagi) who has become a high school student, begin to think strongly about who gave birth to her and where she came from. She sees herself in Madoka’s unborn baby who is to be adopted into an unknown kind of family through Nonogaki’s agency, and she is determined to ask her adopted mother, Takako, about her biological mother. But…
